Football Betting Champion explains bookmakers, markets and betting jargon for Indian readers. It is not a place to bet, and this page marks the boundary of what our information can do for you.

A guide, not a bookmaker

The site belongs to Cayrivane Media Works B.V.. It takes no stakes, keeps no player balances and settles no wagers, so no gaming licence is needed or held by us. Any licence quoted in a review is the bookmaker’s. Problems with a withdrawal, a voided bet or ID checks have to go to the bookmaker first and, where there is one, to the regulator that licensed it.

Where Indian law stands

The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 has been in force since 22 August 2025. It bans real-money online games throughout India, sports betting included, and bans their advertising and promotion. The Online Gaming Rules, 2026 have applied since 1 May 2026, and the Online Gaming Authority of India was created to oversee online gaming. Our reviews record how offshore bookmakers operate. They do not say that betting with any of them is allowed for someone in India, and they do not ask you to try. Pages that used to carry a “Is it legal?” box now carry a short account of the law instead.

Rupee payments

Indian banks and payment companies are not permitted to process transactions for real-money gaming platforms. UPI, Paytm, PhonePe or NetBanking may appear in an older review and still fail, be reversed or be frozen when you try them. Rupee amounts are the bookmaker’s figures, converted at whatever rate the bookmaker chooses.

Age

Every page is intended for readers who are 18 or older.

Bonus terms and numbers

Welcome offers, free bets, rollover multiples, minimum odds, deposit ceilings and withdrawal caps are taken from the bookmakers and rechecked periodically. Should the bookmaker’s rules say something different from our page, follow the bookmaker’s rules. If an operator publishes no figure, our field stays blank; we do not guess.

Scores are a judgement

A rating sums up what we saw on licensing, cricket and kabaddi markets, prices, payments, the app and support at the time of writing. It is a snapshot of one review, not a forecast of how your own account or payout will go.

Odds and predictions

Prices change with every wicket, toss result and injury update. Previews and tips are the author’s view of a match, nothing firmer. No staking system, accumulator trick or “fixed” tip overcomes the margin bookmakers build into their prices.

In-play markets

Live markets are suspended and reopened at the bookmaker’s discretion, may be repriced or settled late, and a stream can trail the real action by several seconds. Void-bet and cash-out rules differ from one operator to the next and live only in that operator’s terms.

Exchanges and fantasy formats

Our pages on betting exchanges describe how back and lay markets and commission work in general. Formats that look like a game of skill can still fall under the ban on real-money online games; we do not decide which product counts as what.

Brands that left

Some bookmakers stopped accepting Indian players before the 2025 Act: Betway withdrew on 1 October 2023, for one. Their reviews stay online as a record and are marked accordingly.

English and Hindi pages

The Hindi section is written on its own schedule and can lag behind or run ahead of the English one. When two versions disagree, trust the one with the later “Updated” date.

News and match reports

News items describe events on the day they were written. Squads, fixtures and tournament formats change, and an older article is not rewritten every time they do.

Bookmaker apps and APK files

Several bookmakers distribute Android apps as APK downloads outside the Play Store. Our app pages describe what such an app offered when we looked at it; we do not host the files, cannot check what a later build contains and do not suggest switching off your phone’s protection to install one.

Tournaments and fixtures

IPL, World Cup, Pro Kabaddi and ISL pages are written around schedules that organisers move, shorten or cancel. Rain, a reduced-overs match or a forfeit can change how a market settles, and each bookmaker applies its own rule to that situation.

Kabaddi, football and smaller sports

Markets on kabaddi, Indian football and other less covered sports are thinner, carry wider margins and are more often pulled at short notice. What we write about them reflects a smaller sample of matches than our cricket coverage.

Taxes

Whether winnings are taxable, and how, depends on your circumstances and on the law where you live. We do not calculate tax for readers, and any mention of tax on our pages is a general remark, nothing more.

Accounts we do not control

Opening, verifying, unblocking or closing a bookmaker account is beyond our reach, and so is chasing a payment on your behalf. If someone claiming to be from Football Betting Champion offers to do so, it is not us.

Pictures and trademarks

Photos of grounds and matches come from Wikimedia Commons under the licences in their credits. Bookmaker names and logos are shown to identify the brand under review; their owners have not endorsed Football Betting Champion.

Sponsored content

Some articles and links on the site were paid for by third parties. They play no part in our bookmaker ratings; our sources of income are laid out in the affiliate disclosure.

No professional advice

We are not lawyers, tax consultants or financial planners, and nothing on these pages replaces one. Where a decision depends on the law, ask a qualified professional.

Errors and liability

Mistakes and stale details get past even careful editors, and we cannot vouch for the completeness of every page. To the extent applicable law permits, the publisher is not answerable for money staked and lost, for operators that hold back or refuse a payout, or for any other damage a reader links to these pages.

If betting stops being fun

A bet is a cost, not an income. Fix your budget before the first ball, do not chase a losing day and take a break once the fun has gone out of it. The responsible gambling page and the free line in our footer can help.
